We strive to provide home care service above and beyond your expectations. We value your health and safety and that of your family, pets, friends, and colleagues.
Getting Started with Double Duty
To initiate your routine services, we start with a complimentary visit and estimate. We come to meet you in your home and view it from top to bottom, to give you a proper estimate of the time it will take on the first initial deep clean as well as the routine cleans to follow.
Next, we first schedule your initial deep clean. This service is lengthier than routine cleaning, and may be at a different day and time than your regularly scheduled appointment.
Routine Cleaning Schedules
Following your initial deep clean, we set a day and approximate time for your routine cleaning service, based on your geographic area, cleaning frequency and duration, and our current availability.
Time required for routine cleans can vary, depending on how long since the last clean, as well as extra service needs, such as picking up clutter, washing dirty dishes, making beds, shampooing carpets, cleaning fridge and/or stove, or other odd jobs. Please give us at least one-week notice if you require extra services such as these.
We email you a calendar invite so you always know approximately when to expect us on your cleaning day. We update your time slot as needed, to accommodate holidays, vacations, and other adjustments.Occasionally we may need to shift your clean to a different day of the week. If a new day and time doesn’t work for you, just let us know right away so we can reschedule.
The evening before your cleaning, a via text confirmation goes to all scheduled clients for the following day to double confirm your scheduled cleaning appt.
Homes with Pets
As part of our dedication to helping all our clients have a healthier home, we perform extra sanitization and cleaning on the equipment and supplies used in all homes with dogs or cats. This cost applies to all homes with non-human residents, regardless how many pets are present, or specific types of coat, fur or hair. We are unable to make exceptions to this policy, even for short-haired, "low-shedding" or "hypoallergenic" breeds.
If you welcome a dog or cat into your previously pet-free home, as a courtesy we will maintain your non-pet rate for the first two cleans, after which your rate will go up to the Home With Pets Rate.
Due to the risk of spreading disease, we can not clean homes with birds, rodents or reptiles present
We specialize in cleaning new and newly-remodeled homes once the project is nearly completed, after finish flooring and trim has been installed, and all construction materials and tools have been cleared away. No other work is to take place inside the house during the clean. We charge a $50 rescheduling fee if the home is not ready for cleaning.
We have seasonal closures for staff vacation, in March, July, and December. During those times, any requests for estimates and services will be delayed until after we are back. We will notify you in advance of any impact to your routine cleaning schedule.
When winter weather conditions - such as heavy snow, freezing rain, or ice - make the roads unsafe for driving and the pavement unsafe for staff to load and unload, we will reschedule cleaning services for later on the same day or, if necessary, for another day of the week.
If the local temperatures are forecast to exceed 80°F on your scheduled cleaning day, please turn on air conditioning if your home is equipped. Homes without air conditioning must be cleaned before noon during hot weather. If your home does not have working air conditioning, please let us know so as soon as possible, so that we can reschedule when needed.
We accept cash, checks, and credit cards via Venmo. Payment is due same-day, upon completion of the home. We reserve the right to restrict some payment options for some clients.
Unless otherwise pre-arranged, there is a $50 surcharge for checks mailed after the service.
Per ORS 30.701, the fee for returned checks is three times the amount of the original check, up to $500, in addition to the amount for which the check was drawn.
